Sycamores care home

Welcome to Sycamores care home located in Sydenham in Leamington Spa. The home combines support with care that helps residents live life as independently as possible.    

What type of care do we provide? 

At Sycamores, we provide: 

• Residential care: long-term, 24-hour support for older people 
• Dementia care: supporting people living with dementia 
• Respite care: short-term stays to give carers a break or to support recovery after an illness 

We’re all different, so we work closely with residents and their loved ones to support the life they choose. 

Spaces that feel like home 

Sycamores has 36 bedrooms including ground floor and ensuite rooms where available. The home has three households, each with its own lounge, dining area and kitchenette.  

The household décor reflects three lifestyles based on town, country and classical living. Hobbies, interests and local information are represented in the hallway decorations. This is because we recognise that the space in-between places creates opportunities for conversation and reminiscence. 

There is a beauty salon for unisex hairdressing and manicures, and a summerhouse which is often used for family get-togethers or special events such as a Christmas grotto.  

Life at Sycamores 

Much of daily life takes place in the lounges, where residents spend time together or join in with regular activities. Residents can choose to: 

• Take part in crafts, baking, games and gentle exercise 
• Enjoy fresh air in the garden, which has a paved area, planting spaces and a cycle path designed for our side-by-side companion bike 
• Join in with one-to-one and music sessions led by our Community Musicians 
• Book a haircut or manicure at the on-site salon 
• Go out on a local trip using the Memory Maker minibus, which is wheelchair accessible and open for relatives to join too  

Health benefits through innovation and technology  

Sycamores is the first care home in the UK to introduce a circadian lighting system, that has been developed to be easy to retro-fit into older buildings without the need to completely rewire the home. Circadian lighting mimics natural daylight to set the body's internal body clock, helping people to be more alert during the day and sleep better at night. It has been proven to support health and wellbeing and has significant benefits for residents, particularly for people living with dementia.

You’re very welcome to visit, meet the team and see the home for yourself. If you choose Sycamores and there are no rooms available, we’ll do our best to accommodate you in one of our other homes nearby until a room becomes free.
