At Fairfield, we provide:
We take the time to understand each resident and their loved ones, making sure care fits around the way they like to live.
Fairfield has 37 bedrooms in total, including some ensuite and ground floor rooms, where available. The home has three separate households, each with its own lounge, dining area and kitchenette, where people can make their own snacks and drinks if they want.
The households are designed in one of three lifestyles based on town, country and classical living. Hobbies, interests and local information are represented in the hallway decorations which spark conversation and reminiscence.
There's also a beauty salon offering unisex hairdressing and manicures and a quiet room for crafts or family celebrations.

Maryann has been with WCS Care since 2009 and has worked in a variety of roles, before taking the role of Home Manager in 2019.
Maryann describes herself as the bedrock of her family, from her parents to her grandchild. Family comes first for Maryann and, for her, Fairfield is a second home, with a family of team members and residents.

Kerry has been part of the Fairfield team since 1986. Having joined as a night carer, juggling work around her busy family life, she moved to the role of Care Co-ordinator before becoming the home's Deputy Home Manager.
Kerry spent a lot of time with her grandparents when she was growing up, enjoying their company and helping when they were unwell. Having previously considered being a nurse, Kerry used this personal experience and decided to work in care where she gets to build the personal, long-lasting relationships with residents that she treasures.

Hannah has been part of the WCS family for 17 years, working in three different homes and progressing her career in care. She took a break from care work to become one of the cooks at Fairfield, fitting in with her family life at the time.
Now as Administrator, Hannah loves being the friendly face you see when you visit, and the helpful voice on the end of the phone. Having cared for her nan while still in school and supporting her mum today, Hannah understands the emotional journey families go through. She enjoys the variety of her role and takes pride in helping residents and their families feel at home at Fairfield.

Claire has worked in care all her life, joining Fairfield in 2002 as a Carer. She was inspired to work in care after helping to look after her grandfather. What began as a summer job became a life-long vocation. Claire is especially passionate about palliative care, ensuring residents are comfortable and treated with dignity, while also offering comfort and support to their families.
She describes Fairfield as a family, where everyone supports each other, and says this strong team spirit keeps her motivated every day.

Chantelle worked in a hospital laboratory for many years before undertaking a holistic therapy course, which set her on a wellbeing journey focusing on physical relaxation, lifestyle, nutrition and mindfulness.
She has always been creative, with a love for art, crafts and crocheting, and was drawn to the opportunity to join the Fairfield team as a Lifestyle Coach in 2024, combining her creativity with supporting older people.
Chantelle enjoys taking time to get to know each resident and tailoring activities to what they genuinely enjoy.

Here are just a few of the faces that make up our team at Fairfield.
No matter what their role is, every member of our team is a carer at heart and contributes to the day-to-day experience of our residents. We know we’re only as good as our last act of care, so we recruit team members who embody our values whilst also simply being themselves, bringing all of their different personalities, interests and passions to work to create a diverse team of carers.
