The Limes care home

Welcome to The Limes care home in Stratford-upon-Avon. Located on Alcester Road near Morrisons, the home combines support with care that helps residents live life as independently as possible.  

What type of care do we provide? 

At The Limes, we provide: 

• Residential care – long-term, 24-hour support for older people 
• Dementia care – supporting people living with dementia 
• Respite care – short-term stays to give carers a break or help someone recover after an illness 

Everyone’s different, so we take the time to really get to know each resident and their family, making sure life continues in the way they want it to. 

Homely living spaces 

The Limes has 31 bedrooms in total, including some ensuite wetrooms and ground floor rooms, where available. The Limes is designed in households, each with its own living space featuring a lounge, dining area and kitchenette where people can make their own snacks and drinks if they choose to.  

Each household is designed around a lifestyle, town, country, or classical living. Hobbies, interests and local information are included in the hallway decorations which spark conversation and reminiscence. 

The home also has a hair salon which offers unisex hairdressing and a café which provides a relaxed space to catch up, celebrate special occasions, or simply enjoy a change of scenery. 

Daily life and activities  

Life at the Limes centres around the shared living areas, where residents come together to socialise, relax and participate in a range of activities, including: 

• gentle exercise sessions 
• crafts, baking and other activities that residents’ enjoy 
• one-to-one and group music sessions led by our Community Musicians  
• trips out in the Memory-Maker minibus, which is accessible for wheelchair users. Families are always welcome to join these trips, to make more memories together 

Gardens and summer house 

Maintained by both residents and staff, the garden attracts local wildlife, including squirrels and muntjac deer.  

Health benefits through innovation and technology  

To ensure the safety and comfort of all residents, The Limes uses night-time acoustic monitoring when consent is given by residents or their families. This technology helps our care team respond quickly to any needs during the night, supporting residents to sleep better and improving the overall health and wellbeing of the people living with us.
