Castle Brook is WCS Care's newest home, providing long-term residential care and short-term respite care for up to 84 older people and people living with dementia, providing state-of-the-art accommodation across six separate households - on either the ground floor (easily accessible), middle floor or top floor (both accessible by a lift).

Each household has a large, open plan living area with a lovely lounge, dining area and domestic-style kitchen where people can make their own snacks and drinks, full meal or even bake a cake, anytime day or night.

All rooms include ensuite facilities and there are also double apartments available for couples or relatives wanting to stay together, with the choice of a two-bedroom apartment or a bedroom, lounge and kitchenette, complete with private access and fenced gardens.

Castle Brook has vibrant community facilities including a cafe, cinema, hair salon, shop, and traditional launderette. There's a whole host of clubs and recreation including Oomph! exercise classes, gardening club, film matinees, table tennis or our side-by-side bike-for-two, where you can join in with as much or as little as you like.

Everyone living at Castle Brook has access to the outdoors, so why not: enjoy the view from your household's balcony; take a stroll along our walkways; feel the wind in your face along our cycle path on our bike-for-two; pick up a spade to help grow vegetables and flowers; or simply relax in the beautiful secure gardens.

Fees at Castle Brook range from £1,150 to £1,300 (single room) or up to £1,850 (double apartment and garden) per week, depending on care needs and any additional supplements, if applicable. See the 'fees & important information' tab for details (prices valid from 01 April 2020 and are subject to review).

Castle Brook is opposite a beautiful common and next to a calming brook, and is easily accessible by car from all major routes through Kenilworth and the surrounding area. There's also a bus stop right outside the home, making it easy to get into the town centre.

What's on offer?

Relax with a cuppa
Our bright cafe, with indoor and outdoor areas, provides the perfect meeting spot for you to meet other people living with, or caring for someone with, dementia. Situated in the public area of Castle Brook, there's always something going on and plenty to get involved with - from games to use of some of the home's other facilities.

Ping pong fun for all
Whether you've played before or not, it doesn't take long to get into the swing of having fun with our specially designed table tennis table. With sides that keep the ball in play, this simple game is easy to play, whether you're standing up or sitting on a chair. And there's the added bonus that playing table tennis has a number of wellbeing benefits; contributing to improved balance and mobility, and better hand-eye co-ordination.

Get on your bike
Experience the exhilaration of feeling the wind in your hair as you ride our side-by-side companion bike on our secure cycle track. Pedal, chat, laugh or just sing 'Daisy, Daisy' with the peace of mind that the arm rests and seat belt make the bike completely safe for those with mobility or cognitive impairments.

Be bowled over
Spend time outside, upstairs on our roof-top bowling green. As well as crown green bowls, we've croquet, skittles and quoits to enjoy - and if you don't want to play, there's plenty of seating so you can simply sit back and enjoy being a spectator.

Popcorn at the ready
If you're looking for something less energetic, why not spend your time in our in-home cinema. Pop to the home's shop to buy your crisps, sweets, ice cream or drinks, then sit back and enjoy an old classic or modern blockbuster. We've a wide selection of films to choose from, or you can bring your own.
