A bit about Mill Green care home

Welcome to Mill Green care home, located in Newbold on Avon in Rugby. The home provides specialist care for adults with physical disabilities and lifelong conditions.

What type of care do we provide?

At Mill Green care home, we provide:

  • Residential care: long term, 24-hour support for people with physical disabilities and lifelong conditions
  • Respite care: short-term stays to give family or carers a break

Our team work closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals to make sure that life continues in the way residents want it to.

Spaces that feel like home

Mill Green has 15 en-suite bedrooms, which are all located on the ground floor. Permanent residents are encouraged to decorate their rooms in their preferred colours and style to make them their own.

The home has two small households, also on the ground floor, each with a shared lounge, dining area, and kitchenette where residents can prepare drinks and snacks or join others for meals and to socialise.

To meet residents’ needs the home has been adapted to make moving around as easy as possible. Facilities such as computer access, ensure that residents can continue to do things they enjoy.

Residents often spend time outside in the garden which has a seating area and raised beds for those who want to grow flowers, fruit and vegetables.

Life at Mill Green

Residents are able to continue cooking, shopping, or gardening if they want to, and there is a small laundry for those who prefer to do their own washing.

Shared lounges provide space to socialise, participate in activities, or spend time with family and friends. Residents can also choose to:

  • take part in one-to-one and group music sessions led by our Community Musicians
  • spend time outdoors or help look after the garden
  • take a spa bath for a feel-good bathing experience
  • go on local trips on the Memory Maker minibus, which is wheelchair accessible, to favourite places such as pubs, restaurants the theatre and other places of interest.
