WCS Care

WCS Care are delighted to have been named one of the Top 20 Mid-Size Care Home Groups in the carehome.co.uk awards, for the second consecutive year.

Lee Peart from Caring Times, visited Woodside Care Village in Warwick recently to meet our team and find out more about the home. Find out more about why he wrote that 'with so much innovation and best practice on offer, providers could do a lot worse than paying a visit to Woodside Care Village to learn the WCS Care way'.

Following our decision to continue to use masks, and reintroduce testing over the Christmas and New Year period, we have decided that with the continued level of community infections, the limited capacity of our local hospitals, strikes and long ambulance waits, we will continue to wear masks and conduct asymptomatic testing for another month.

Woodside Care Village in Warwick has been featured in The Guardian as 'a pioneer in person-centred care.' Find out what The Guardian's Social Affairs Correspondent Robert Booth had to say about the home after his visit in December.

From the 22nd December the Government will be making it the responsibility of care home providers as to whether to wear masks or not. We recognise that local infections are rising and therefore, we will continue to wear masks over this risky Christmas and New Year period.

We are putting in place the following infection control measures for the next month:

  • Staff and visitors to continue to wear masks in all WCS care homes
  • LFD 72 hour testing will be reintroduced for staff
  • Precautionary 72 hour LFD testing will be reintroduced for visitors (we can provide tests)
  • Visitors not wishing/unable to take a test will be offered visits in pods or private rooms and asked to avoid communal areas where there are other vulnerable resident
