The Company

The Company

An introduction to the company and the other people who work here . . . .

WCS Care Group was formed on the 1st October 1992 to operate care homes for older people and younger adults in Warwickshire. We were one of the first companies created to operate care homes that were formerly owned and operated by a local authority.

We undertook a £11 million refurbishment programme over the following decade throughout our 11 care homes to create that 'home from home' feel where the quality of care could be matched by the quality of the surroundings.

In 1995 we began operating domiciliary care services to help support people to remain independent in the privacy of their own homes.

We employ approximately 600 people and are proud to maintain Investor in People status.

Mission Statement . . . .

  •         WCS is committed to high quality personalised care.
  • We will grow and maintain business by developing all aspects of    management for older people and those with physical disabilities.
  • As a not-for-profit charitable company which is sustainable and sound, we re-invest all of the Company's surpluses to further develop our quality of  care provision.
  • We will foster a style of management based on personal responsibility and trust.

Our Care Philosophy . . . .

At its heart, WCS Care Group is about people, we are:

  •  Passionate about what we do
  •  Embrace new ideas and good practice
  •  Other people's opinions are always valued
  •  Privacy & dignity are respected at all times

Our Commitment to You . . . .

We believe the purpose of each home should be to enable people to receive and continue to achieve their physical, emotional and social potential and to have the right to choose how they conduct their lives and preserve their individuality with dignity and respect.

Care will be provided which is sensitive and personal, respects individual's culture, sexuality, age and spiritual needs with and people will not be discouraged from undertaking activities solely on the grounds that there is an element of risk. Their right to make their own decisions will be upheld so long as they do not infringe on the rights of others.

Staff will be committed to providing a quality care service that will meet the expectations and requirements of customers and will therefore welcome recommendations, criticisms and comments on the service in order to ensure people receive a service which meets their individual requirements.
