Dewar Close provides both long term residential care for 39 frail, older people, people living with a dementia and day care for up to 8 older people.
Situated on the outskirts of Rugby in the small village of Bilton, with all its facilities of a large town Dewar Close has the added convenience of being a few hundred meters from a small parade of shops including a post office, CO-OP, chemist, newsagent, fish & chip shop and florist. A local pub, The George is nearby and Rugby's main shopping centre is within five minutes bus ride away. A bus stop is directly outside the entrance to Beech Drive. Parking space is available for staff and visitors to the front of the home.
Accommodation is on three floors/households which are all accessible via a lift.
Two of the households are home to 15 people, the household on the ground floor is home for 9. All households can accommodate people who require additional support as they are living with a dementia. They have 2 or 3 lounge and dining areas including a kitchenette, where snacks and drinks can be made by the people who live in the home, their visitors and by staff.
The gardens have been landscaped and offer pleasant views, accessible seating areas, raised beds, greenhouse and garden workshop.
