At WCS Care Group we are committed to helping our staff develop the skills they need to progress in their chosen career.
We have achieved Investor in People status since 1995 and continue to invest heavily in the training and development of our workforce.
We always ensure all staff are paid and supported to attend training.
Working at WCS Care Group means we are committed to helping you develop the skills you need to progress in your chosen career.
We assist all employees with:
- A "personal development plan" that helps you and your Manager
tailor development to your own needs.
- Regular coaching, support and encouragement
- A range of learning and development opportunities, including training courses and professional qualifications.

Leadership & Management .....
High quality leadership and people management are crucial to our success. Leadership is not exclusive to our top Managers, but is required and promoted throughout the organisation.
We support staff to gain relevant leadership qualifications to their role and undertake succession planning for new aspiring Leaders and Managers.
Registered Managers .....
Registered Managers are a key professional group of leaders responsible for registered residential, domiciliary and adult placement services. They are pivotal to workforce development and ensuring the delivery of services underpinned by the principles of personalisation, protection, dignity and choice.
To help achieve this we support all of our registered Managers through "Leadership and Management of Care Services" at the appropriate levels on the Qualifications and Credit Framework.
We also ensure our Managers have effective communication skills to enable good communication with their staff and the people who use their services. Basic management skills are coached to ensure the service is delivered to meet essential standards of quality and safety.
Carers .....
We take pride in supporting our Carers to carry out their roles to provide personalised care to our customers.
Carers are supported through comprehensive Common Induction Standards and the apprenticeship framework to gain care qualifications on the Qualifications and Credit framework to ensure they have the right skills to continue to provide personalised care to our customers.
WCS Care Group encourages Carers to constantly renew and extend their skills and knowledge as part of their continued development.
Other Key Roles .....
WCS Care Group places tremendous importance on the growth and development of all our staff. We are committed to helping every individual develop personally and professionally, through a combination of training, feedback and experience.
